The 2011 Chevrolet Orlando production version has been unveiled today and GM has announced that its world premiere will take place at the Paris Auto Show this fall. GM has released only the initial details a couple of photos of the 2011 Chevrolet Orlando, but they’re enough to give a first impression of their new MPV. The 2011 Chevrolet Orlando will be made available on the European market with a choice between petrol and two diesel engines. The gasoline powered 2011 Chevrolet Orlando will have a 1.8-liter engine developing 141 hp while the diesels will be 2.0-liter units with 131hp (low output) or 163 hp (high output).
Taking a closer look, you will be amazed by the theatre style seating arrangement of the Chevrolet Orlando’s three rows of seats as well as by the generous load area and the numerous storage solutions. The most ingenious is the storage area hidden behind front fascia of the audio, revealed by flipping up the face of the audio, and large enough for such items as an MP3 player, sunglasses and wallets. Also, the car has a USB port, ideal for re-charging the MP3 or iPod when on the move.
Under the hood we will find a choice of three fuel efficient engines; a 1.8-liter petrol engine delivering 141 hp, as well as two diesel units, the latest version of Chevrolet’s 2.0 litre engine with outputs of 131hp (low output) or 163 hp (high output). Four trim levels will be available and the standard equipment will include including electronic stability control, six air-bags, air conditioning and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors. Full production of the Chevrolet Orlando starts in October 2010 with the car going on sale across Europe in early 2011.
