The 2011 BMW M3 GTS price was announced today and the most powerful M3 Coupe version will go on sale on the company's home market in July 2011.
The 2011 BMW M3 GTS is powered by a larger and more powerful V8 that packs 450 BHP (331 kW) and 440 Nm of torque and which uses a seven-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic. The 2011 BMW M3 GTS also comes a stiffer suspension, optimizes aerodynamics and reduced weight as it is designed for club sport usage, but being road legal in the same time.
The interior of the BMW M3 GTS reflects a predominant focus onoptimum performance and the highest level of safety on the racetrack.The range of equipment includes thoroughbred racing bucket sets,carbon interior trims and an Alcantara® M steering wheel. Door andsidewall linings in the rear compartment are also made ofAlcantara®. The BMW M3 GTS is equipped as standard with a roll barfitted behind the B-pillars. Furthermore, the car body offersfastening points for six-point safety seat belts and an optionalextension for the roll cage. The car is fitted with three-pointautomatic seatbelts for road use. Additionally supplied six-pointsafety seat belts for driver and front seat passenger and a fireextinguisher complete the range of equipment.BMW will only manufacture the M3 GTS to order and sell it at about €115,000 (US$170 614) per unit. German deliveries begin in May 2010 while other countries are scheduled for the summer.
